Tree Hugger
As adults, Cheetahs don't often climb trees. They chase down their prey and devour it immediately on the ground. Once they are finished they leave the remains for scavengers. There is no need to carry their kill up a tree to save it for later, like Leopards. Cheetah cubs, however, love to climb and play in trees. In the Makao Plains of Ndutu, Tanzania we were heartened to see several thriving families of Cheetahs, a species listed as Vulnerable to becoming endangered by the IUCN. Feb 4, 2017
